It’s done at last.

I managed to find the problem that was plaguing both the Bluetooth and the key repress. It really took a week to get rid of the bugs and now it even resolved an issue which I thought was unique to the Nokia 6600. I’m ecstatic about it.

It’s now a case of promoting it. I’ve sent it away to a developer for feedback and I’m now putting together press release notes to send to people all over the country. It will be interesting if I get any response.

After that I’ll be working on something else for a couple of weeks but then it will be right back at it.

Dead End

Things are stuffed. I can’t seem to get the Bluetooth connections working again. It’s stuck and nothing I do seem to get it working again.

I’m out of ideas so I don’t know where to take this…..

Knockback.

In order to try and speed up the map transfer of the game, I increased the packet size to 128 bytes. The connection between the test 3230 and 6230 failed. I’m moving it back to the slower 48 because I know that at least works.

After all the effort to get it running on a Motorola Raz3 have failed. There’s not enough memory in the Java Heap and it will be a lot of effort for very, very little gain in order to get it working on these mobile phones.

Suffice to say, this means that I’m putting the release date back until Monday the 13th of Feburary. (How Lucky is that?)

It’s done, completed, finished.

I’ve got to finish complete some press releases and upgrade the website. There are three versions;

1.The Slice Version.
2.The NDice Version.
3. The No-Bluetooth Version.

The first two versions should work on the following phones.

Manufacturer Model No.
Nokia 3230 6260 6270* 6280*
6600 6630 6670 6680
6681 7610 7710* 8800*
8810* N70* N90* N91*
Sony Erriscson D750 K600 K608 K750
W550 W600 W800 Z520
Motorola A1000 V3x* E1070*
Samsung SGH-D720* SGH-D730*

The third version is for any MIDP 2.0 phone which screen is 176*208 pixels or greater.

I’m now having two weeks away from InterPhace but, as I’ve said before, the commercial version is planned and some of the server code is underway already. I’ve already copyrighted the game, so It’s going to be interesting to see if anybody in the media picks it up.
