Working through the problems

It’s becoming clear that I can’t properly test the Multiplayer game with the Emulators. When an emulator is out of focus on your desktop, the Emulator’s clock doesn’t run well, which could explain why the map transfer seems to take to such a while.

I’ve been ripped off by the seller on ebay of the 6600 I was after, the cheque was cashed but no phone has arrived. The matter has been reported to ebay and I’m considering if I need to go to the police to report a fraud.

It will be next month before I get a free upgrade for my mobile contract, which I will be using for testing purposes, so I’m using the time left to fix small bugs and enhance the single player game, the Themes and the graphic engine.

On Hold

As Noted in my other blog, presently the game is on hold. There is no time due to real life. Pity really, all the analysis of the mobile game market seems to match the game’s profile perfectly. It’s simple, it has multiplayer capability and can be picked up and played in minutes.

I’m hoping to get more done over the next month but until I get a second phone which I can test the game with, I’ll have to work on the other Items I have listed to do;-

1. Add status screens to the mo_listener handler.
2. Bluetooth Forum needs explanation.
3. Form Layout is Shot on a 6600
4. Examine the close functionality on the client view? Two 6600 Needed to confirm.
5. About Screen including COPYRIGHT!
6. Help Screen.
7. Launch website from App?
8. Make the Bluetooth Forum screen a little bit more user friendly. At the moment it’s just a blank list and that needs instructions.
9. Make sure when players put in a user name, they can’t put spaces in. This is vital for the Bluetooth Search Functionality.
10. Always stop users from entering a username of user1, userone, user_1, user_one & their capital equivalent because this is going to be used for marketing purposes later.
11. New User Function?
12. New Icons For Edit Player, View Player, Update Statistics
13. New Icons for Themes, Languages, sound.
14.Rewrite the Graphics Engine to take advantage of the MIDP 2.0 advance graphic functions.
15.Save a theme to a player when the theme changes.

16.Single Player enhancement.
