I'm attempting to write a small 'turn based' tactical 'multi player' mobile game. This is a Developer Diary to show how difficult these kind of things are to do, especially when you've already got a full time job, social life etc. The game itself will be written with a combination of J2ME, .Net and XML (as the glue between them). However, I'm presently writing a realtime multiplayer mobile game at the moment, as a learning exercise for the turn based game.
I’ve managed to rework the start up and put in the graphic resizing code. It’s now a matter of testing it against different screen sizes. I am very nervous about running this code and I haven’t put a new version on the test phones yet for almost a month. It’s about to time to knock this version on the head.
