A Wasted weekend.
It turns out that if you are writing a real time game, then forget about using RFCOMM. Other people have reported that its latency is absolutely useless. Apart from the fact I couldn’t get it to work, most realtime games are written using the LCAP2 protocol.
This isn’t a big job as I though, but I do have to think a bit more about how to extract each stage of the game. Thankfully, the main game packet has already been designed. However, the Player details, Process Unit Details and Game Map will all have to be recoded.
A Busy time ahead.
