Angry with Myself!

Actually more like fuming, for two reasons.

1. I’m amazed how much I rely on the IDE to fix my syntax. I worked on some code in notepad over the weekend, thinking my Java is good enough just to cut and paste into the project at a later point. Oh boy! Was I wrong! I spent two hours last night just clearing up the code into a compiled state. Another reminder of how poor my Java, let alone my J2ME, actually is.
2. My game playing habits. As I got a break from real life I got quite a bit of coding fixed. However, after a couple of hours coding I thought, “I’ll just have a five minute break on Homeworld 2!” After what felt like ten minutes, I looked up at the clock to find it was 1 am. What a waste!

As a work colleague of mine pointed out, the only way to actually write a game is not to play games!
