I'm attempting to write a small 'turn based' tactical 'multi player' mobile game. This is a Developer Diary to show how difficult these kind of things are to do, especially when you've already got a full time job, social life etc. The game itself will be written with a combination of J2ME, .Net and XML (as the glue between them). However, I'm presently writing a realtime multiplayer mobile game at the moment, as a learning exercise for the turn based game.
Success at last. I've managed to get something looking vagly like a map onto the screen. It flickers like hell and I don't this it's 100% but its there. Right, now that I'm over that (and it's only taken three months), I can start to look at the rest of it.
